A wet pour safety surface is a continuous
bonded rubber surface. It is durable, soft
cushioned and porous, so that puddles do not form on the surface.
Suitable for all installations where a safety surface
is required, it can be laid around playground equipment
and over most existing surfaces.
It can help to avoid or substantially reduce the risk
of injury to children who fall
in playgrounds, but is also a versatile
surface that can be used in lots of other areas such as
sports and leisure facilities,
theme parks, golf walkways, pathways and around swimming pools.
It is virtually maintenance free and very cost effective
with no hidden dangers, see all the benefits
and colours of this synthetic
safety surface.
The type of rubber we use for our
installations is EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Di Monomer)
virgin wet pour rubber granules. This is used for
our black and coloured rubber safety surfaces. Surfacing
depths for the rubberised flooring can be from
20mm to 110mm determined by the operating height of the playground
equipment and the proximity of other supplies and equipment. See our technical standards page.
Again, specific to your personal requirements our
wet pour rubber is laid in one or two layers, depending
on the critical fall height of the playground equipment
and how much impact absorption is required.
Both our recycled and EPDM rubber wet pour
systems have endless possibilities. Here are just a few
examples of some of the areas in which EPDM rubber
are used for:
• Playground safety surfaces
• Leisure or children's indoor climbing centres
